Item Description

Sharp to subhedral, tetrahexahedral copper crystal amygdules form a very aesthetic miniature from recent collecting from the dumps at this long-closed copper mine (active from 1910-1920). The copper was deposited in the gas bubbles, that formed in the lava matrix. The sharp crystal at the top is especially noteworthy. The bright patina is the result of a light cleaning. Choice, excellent and uncommon material from this locale from the Cynthia Payne Collection.
