Item Description
Mineral specimens are very uncommon from any of the four shafts of the less well-known Seneca Mine of Copper Country. This is a RARE old combination pseudomorph from the A.E. Seaman Museum and the Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection. A RARE 6 mm pseudomorph of copper after an analcime crystal is jauntily perched on the side of an unusual elongated copper crystal. The impressive, sculptural copper is a compound elongated spinel-twin with euhedral to subhedral tetrahexahedral faces and a few sharp small crystals at one end. The unusual pitting and nice patina add much character to this excellent old pseudomorph rarity with a fine provenance.
