Item Description

Most people are familiar with the Copper pseudomorphs after Aragonite from this locality, but to find non-pseudomorphic native Copper is rather rare. This arborescent "sheet" of mostly pseudomorphed Copper is a good display from this historic locality. It has a gorgeous blue-green patina (a replacemnt of either Malachite or Chrysocolla) which took the place of the sharp cubic crystals in areas with minor blood red Cuprite. These pieces started to trickle out around October of 2007, and this piece is one of the best samples of this particular material that I have handled.
