Item Description
Here we have a lovely sculptural display specimen of Native Copper from the famous Chino Mine in New Mexico. The piece has elegant, flowing forms all over, and it's not just a "chunk" of Copper, as there are defined crystals all over, showing a wide range of habits/morphologies. The piece is nearly a complete "floater", as there is only a tiny bit of attached matrix, but it's crystallized on all sides. A tiny bit of soft green Malachite can be seen in spots, a result of oxidation of the Copper. A showy and fine quality example from this famous locality.
