Copal / Young Amber with MULTIPLE insect inclusions

This is one of the thickest, and wonderfully insect-packed pieces of Copal / Young Amber that we've had to offer in the auctions. This one is special as it features a couple of interesting "club"-like plant structures (some have thought that these could be horsetail shoots, but it's not likely) among over 40 termites (Isoptera) plus four scarab beetles (Termitodius sp.) plus termites (Inquilines). The largest insect inclusion measures 4 mm. I love the form and the overall internal gemminess which allows the viewer to clearly see virtually everything that's frozen inside. Collectors love Amber because it is some of the best quality material in the world. These pieces are beloved because many of them feature superb insect "fossils" frozen within. This kind of material was made famous in films like Jurassic Park, and whether you consider this to be a fossil or a mineral specimen, you can't deny that it's just plain cool.
