Conichalcite with Calcite (Wes Parker Coll.)

A striking and colorful specimen from the famous Mina Ojuela. Sturdy gossn matrix beautifully frames a sculptural vug filled with rich apple-green bubbly and knobby conichalcite. A band of sparkly calcite microcrystals on the lip of the inset vug is a very nice accent. The conichalcite covered vug is in super shape. Periphery wear is noted, but is a very modest detraction. This fine piece probably dates to the 1970s finds at this historic locale. Ex Wes Parker Collection.
