Conichalcite with Calcite (Consie Prince)

Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, spherical aggregates of grass-green conichalcite fully line the sculptural gossan crust on this striking and colorful specimen from Mina Ojuela. The bench on the lower front is noteworthy and is nicely accented with a 1.1 cm cluster of glassy, colorless calcite crystals This fine piece probably dates to the major 1975 find at this historic locale.
