Item Description
The pattern and form of the striking and beautiful color-banding on this dramatic, sliced and polished quartz variety chalcedony (trade name Condor Agate) nodule is very fine. The rainbow of colors range from hues of pinks, reds, browns, greens, yellows and even a bit of lavender. Condor agates with these colors and form are highly desirable. The nodule is thick enough to cut several more 4 mm wide slabs. Condor agates of this quality compare favorably with well-known Mexican agates. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection and purchased in 1996, according to his label.
