Item Description

Colusite is the only mineral where Butte is the Type Locality and this rich specimen is from the Type Locality mine. It is an uncommon Cu-V-As-Sn-Sb sulfosalt. Three veins course through the quartz matrix. The very rich top vein is composed of typical microcrystalline colusite with brilliant silvery-metallic to bronzy luster crystals.
