Colusite is an uncommon Cu-V-As-Sn-Sb sulfosalt and is the only mineral where Butte is the Type Locality. This is a very rich vein of typical microcrystalline colusite with brilliant silvery-metallic luster to the bronzy crystals. The vein is next to green, cupper oxide-tinted quartz.
