Item Description
Mineral specimens of any type are rare from this less well-known pegmatite in the well-known Keystone Mining District of South Dakota. This is a VERY RARE, sharp, equant, tabular thumbnail columbite crystal. The lustrous jet-black orthorhombic prism is nicely accented by the interesting modified termination. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. A small bruise on a side edge is out-of-sight. Valued at $695 by the former dealer (Keith Williams, personal collection).
