This beautiful small cabinet-sized matrix of crystallized albite, sparkly and glistening, hosts a robust single crystal of columbite. You could not ask for better aesthetics, as it stands dramatically upright and is complete all around, black on a white background. The matrix is not just rock, but white and crystallized, which takes it to another level. The sharp columbite crystal is 2 x 1.8 x 1.3 cm in size and has no repairs or damage. A fine rarity, from the breadth of the Pakistani suite assembled by Gene Meieran over the last 40 years, since he started collecting Pakistani minerals in the 1980s to supplement his other suites.
