Columbite (large, important 540 gram crystal!)

Item Description

A significant locality specimen with incredible heft and weight (540 grams!). Although one edge and the bottom are contacted, this is still a heavy, stoutly formed crystal brownish tan columbite with a nice display face. A chunk of the rear-lower portion looks to be eitgher repaired or stabilized, but this is not on the display face in any case. Specimens of columbite this large are not often seen in the mineral market. Ex Robert Nowakowski collection. Value is hard to say - it is really off the charts! at least $500-1000
