Item Description
A very rarely seen specimen of Columbite-(Fe) from the lesser-known Dan Patch Mine in Keystone, South Dakota featuring a broad, euhedral, jet-black crystal with associated Quartz and Muscovite. The crystal shows attractive striated prism faces on the front, but the end is contacted, so it's only a partial crystal. Still a very cool locality piece that would make a great reference addition to any pegmatite collection or a suite of minerals from South Dakota. The piece comes with a label from the collection of J.L & D.M. Waldner of Rapid City.
