Item Description
This well-known Asturias locale is noted for specimens with hydrcarbon inclusions. This is a striking and very showy example of mirror-luster, translucent, color-zoned, light and dark purple fluorite cubes made a shade darker by hydrocarbon inclusions. The cubes have very nifty, beveled edges and the remarkable, intense stepped-growth pattern of the cubes reminds me of the fortification features on old Tri-State District galena specimens. The high luster of the crystals is supremely noteworthy, making for a mesmerizing piece when rotated in light. Choice material from this famous mine from a well-known Spanish dealer.
