Color-zoned Fluorite w/ Quartz (New Find)

Stunning dark purple edge phantoms dramatically outline the starkly contrasting pretty light mint-green translucent fluorite cubes with satin lustre faces. The cubes are dramatically festooned on the barely visible drusy quartz-covered matrix on this impressive large combination plate. The surreal cubes reach 2.2 cm on edge. This is an outstanding example from a New Find at this well-known antimony-gold mine, which we cherrypicked when I was in China in June. Specimens of this unique style have trickled out from the mine over the last 10 years, but never in any quantity or size like this, until this one pocket. Pristine, except for very minor and acceptable periphery wear at some edges. The back has been sawed to enhance the striking display quality. Purple fluorescence.
