Item Description

A striking, beautiful and classic color-zoned fluorite cube from the famed Minerva No. 1 Mine. The rich amber interior has a golden glow, when back lit. A gorgeous, gemmy sky-blue outer zone is underlain by a dramatic rich violet phantom. The glassy transparent to translucent cube has dramatic stepped-growth satin lustre faces. UV lighting shows a bonus, as the part of the amber fluorite is included with fluorescent hydrocarbons. Older material from the 1980s, 1982 until at least to 1986, when the Inverness Mining Company operated the mine (MINDAT). A showy, classic Minerva Mine fluorite combination.
