Color-zoned Fluorite w/ Galena (Allen Dillwith Coll.)

An aesthetic and surprising fluorite from this well-known lead and fluorospar mine, that closed in 1931. Intergrown gemmy and lustrous, violet fluorite cubes are included with nifty clouds of white fluorite. The impressive large cube at the top is 4.2 x 4.2 cm and the galena crystals on the sides are typical and excellent accessories. The BONUS on this piece, is that the cubes are also color-zoned, especially on the corners. Violet phantoms surround a beautiful sky-blue phantom. It's hard to see in the photo. Rich purple fluorescence. A very showy and classic fluorite from the Allen Dillwith Collection.
