Item Description
An exceptional and aesthetic combination specimen from the famous Minerva Mine. Intergrown gem fluorite cubes have classic and beautiful color-zoning with rich amber cores surrounded by striking purple and sky-blue edge phantoms. The frosted prism faces are highly lustrous with dense stepped-growth. The dramatic pristine central cube is 3.4 x 2.5 cm and this cube GLOWS from either direction, when back lit! The rich peppering of glassy calcite scalenohedrons, to 1.3 cm (some doubly terminated), is a super and typical accessory to this sculptural combination example. The fluorite has modest purple fluorescence, but LW UV light reveals yellow-white layers of hydrocarbons or strontianite, that are only visible under the UV light! All of the many calcites are pristine. Valued at $1750-2000. Classic and outstanding Minerva combination fluorite and calcite, that displays great from either direction.
