Color-zoned Fluorite (Urish Coll.)

Item Description

Muzquiz fluorites have incredible stepped-growth faces found nowhere else and this is an striking and excellent example. The aesthetically intergrown cubes are nearly water-clear and have lightly frosted faces. The color is a very pretty blush grape-purple. Close examination of the stepped-faces look just like a M.C. Escher print! The cubes are nearly pristine, with two lightly bruised corners being noted, which is certainly not detracting. An excellent, older fluorite from Muzquiz from the Bruce Van Allen and Harold Urish Collections.
