Item Description
A very fine locality fluorite from the much more obscure Hill-Ledford Mine. The color-zoning is dramatic and very sharp. The glassy, water-clear crystals with lightly frosted faces have juicy rich, grape-purple interiors with progressively lighter zoning toward the outside. The pronounced stepped-growth faces on the large cube really add character to this classic and beautiful fluorite. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection. Valued at $650-800 for color, quality and uncommon locality. Moderate purple fluorescence.
