Color-zoned Fluorite (Sanders and Cowan Coll.)

Fluorite directly attributable to the Sunshine No. 2 adit at Blanchard is rare. This Blanchard beauty has extremely fine color-zoning beneath the frosted, waxy-luster stepped-growth faces. A glorious and classic turquoise-blue outer phantom overlies light blue, with sharp inner phantoms of purple and blue. The crystals glows with different hues, depending on the backlighting! Ex Mike Sanders (mine partner and collected in May, 2016) and Chris Cowan Collections. Classic and excellent Blanchard fluorite. Purple fluorescence.
