Item Description
Mineral specimens are RARE from this old, obscure and extinct Cave-in-Rock fluorite mine. This impressive, large, sculptural, color-zoned fluorite specimen features aesthetically intergrown cubes to 6.1 cm. The lustrous, translucent crystals have striking stepped-growth etched grape-purple faces with waxy luster. Frontal and backlighting reveals the beautiful blue and purple edge phantoms surrounding the amber core. Purple fluorescence. Undoubtedly older material. The piece looks good from either direction. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 2325 and valued at $950.
