Item Description
A beautiful, translucent, color-zoned, rich purple, compound fluorite cube is aesthetically perched on rubyjack sphalerite matrix on this classic and excellent combination from the less well-known Gordonsville Mine, near the famous Elmwood Mine. Underlying the striking, scintillating, dense stepped-growth faces, nifty purple color zones give way to a near-colorless core. One radiation burn is also noted. The cube has only trivial edge and periphery wear. Specimens from here are very uncommon compared to the prolific Elmwood Mine.
