Color-zoned Fluorite on Quartz w/ Calcite

Rich deep purple, lustrous, stepped-growth, translucent fluorite cubes, to 2.8 cm, are densely intergrown and aesthetically strung out on the starkly contrasting large sparkly druzy quartz matrix plate. Scattered clusters of tiny, colorless calcite scalenohedrons are a super complement and accessory. Backlighting shows, that the cubes are strikingly color-zoned! Purple fluorescence. Although there was a large production of this some years ago (5-10?), very few specimens reached this quality in terms of color of fluorite, set against pure white quartz; size; condition; and overall aesthetics. The fluorites really stand out better than usual, and is overall both large and in excellent condition, with only a few trivial fluorite bruises. It will be remembered as a very special Chinese mineral find.
