Color-zoned Fluorite on Quartz

Item Description

A showy and excellent CABINET specimen of nicely dispersed, intergrown, translucent, "Blanchard-blue", fluorite cubes on a quartz matrix from the famous Blanchard Mine of New Mexico. The cubes have nice purple edges. The photos highlight the translucency and color saturations, including the purple edges. The iron-stained quartz underneath some of the cubes gives them a yellow cast. All of the many major fluorite cubes are pristine. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but in the overall context, is a modest detraction. Nicely displayable in several orientations. Contemporary classic material.
