Item Description
A fine old classic from this ancient fluorite mining district. This is an impressive color-zoned specimen from the Herb Obodda Collection. The very glassy transparent cubes have golden-amber cores with pretty multi-hued, ice-blue outer phantoms and frosted faces. Herb Obodda had, until the mid-90s, one of the finest and most comprehensive fluorite collections ever assembled. I sold this piece at the time he broke it up, and got it back recently. Such examples are rare, today. Pristine, except for negligible periphery wear. It displays very well from two sides. Bright fluorescence. valued $1200-1500
