Item Description

A very impressive and dramatic, old-time, LARGE CABINET, fluorite specimen from the Southern Illinois Fluorspar District. The striking, large, intergrown, color-zoned, purple cubes are dramatically flanked by yellow to cream-colored fluorite. The preeminent, large purple cube is 10.3 x 9.8 cm and interior colors range from peacock-blue to lavender. The lustrous, stepped-growth faces also add character. The camera had trouble capturing the beautiful true interior colors - its better in person. Seldom will you see an old, large Illinois fluorite specimen of this size and caliber.
