Item Description
Sharp, impressive and RARE color-zoned fluorite octahedron from the much less well-known Cabresto Creek area Northeast of Questa, New Mexico. The frosted stepped-growth faces obscure the vibrant true interior colors, revealed when the piece is back lit. Vivid pink, stout edge phantoms surround the pretty grass green interior of the well-formed octahedron. Rich purple LW UV fluorescence. Ex David Stoudt New Mexico Collection. A choice fluorite rarity from the obscure New Mexico locale discovered in 2012. A must for the species or locality collector...we have only ever seen a few of these for sale and this seems a good example.
