Item Description
An imposing large "Blanchard blue" fluorite cube with darker blue color-zoned edges, of huge size for the locality! The translucent and lustrous crystals have micro stepped-growth, frosted faces and there is colorless to white fluorite on the contacted back of the piece. The frontal view is pristine. One bruised corner is rehealed with purple fluorite, adding both color and character. Ex Chris Cowan Collection - he is a well known New Mexico field collector. A major and classic Blanchard fluorite. Modest purple fluorescence. valued $2000
