Item Description
Quartz is rare from the famous Minerva No. 1 Mine and is very uncommon from the famous fluorite mines of Southern Illinois. Several faces of this classic and excellent intergrown cluster of gemmy color-zoned cubes are richly peppered with tiny quartz points. The highly lustrous cubes with nifty dense stepped-growth faces have rich golden-amber cores with striking sky-blue and purple edge phantoms. All of the cubes have numerous radiation spots, adding character. The piece displays well from two directions. Modest purple fluorescence.
