Item Description

A sculptural, large, stepped-plate of intergrown gemmy, color-zoned fluorite cubes from this noted district. The water-clear cubes have colorless edges, nifty light lavender phantoms and light amber interiors. Some cube faces are preferentially frosted and scattered purple faces are noted. The large foritication cube is 4.7 cm across and impressive protruding cube has a 3.4 cm edge. There are blebs of bitumen on the left side. The interior is very nearly pristine, with only one gently bruised edge noted. Modest purple fluorescence. Choice material from the Cynthia Payne Collection.
