Item Description
Outstanding 360-degree fluorite from this well-known Ontario Lockport dolomite aggregate quarry. The striking sharp highly lustrous, glassy two-toned cube has a translucent yellow-brown interior with water-clear colorless outer areas. The bit of sparkly siliceous dolostone matrix is a super accent. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only one bruised corner, which is out-of-sight in the primary display view. It resembles classic Clay Center, Ohio fluorites, but is much rarer from Ontario. Tiny marcasites are embedded within the cube, which the zoned ghostly white and purple fluorescent shot reveals.
