Color-zoned Fluorite (fluorescent)

Item Description

These glassy, highly lustrous fluorite cubes, to 2.5 cm, appear to be nearly opaque in normal light. BUT, when strongly backlit or frontlit, these crystals reveal, that they are gemmy, transparent to translucent and have luscious colors of cranberry-red to purple. Moderate purple fluorescence. A showy, nearly pristine mounded piece with only very trivial periphery wear.
