Item Description

A classic and beautiful large cluster of color-zoned fluorite cubes from the famous Minerva #1 Mine of Southern Illinois. The lustrous, lightly frosted faces of the transparent large cubes, to 9.3 cm, reveal the striking color-zoning from grape-purple to sky-blue on the edges and nifty dark purple phantoms. The few internal crazing blades really add character. The crystals are in great shape, with only trivial edge wear. Modest purple fluorescence. Classic and showy Illinois fluorite.
