Item Description
A striking, beautiful and unusual color-zoned fluorite from Rosiclare and the Bob Trimingham Collection. The three aesthetically intergrown stunningly water-clear cubes, to 3.5 cm, have rich yellow interiors surrounded by dramatic light purple to colorless edge phantoms. All three cubes have hard-to-see, included tiny metallic chalcopyrite crystals, many with amazing spike-like tails! Most of the indented faces are coated with brown, oxidized hydrocarbons. A bit of corner and edge bruising is noted, but certainly nothing to detraction. This is a fine fluorite, with very high transparency and highly unusual inclusions. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and obtained in 1977. Purple with some YELLOW fluorescence!
