Item Description

Glassy, lustrous, transparent to translucent, color-zoned fluorite cubes comprise this fine specimen from the famous Heights Quarry at Weardale. The cubes have colorless exteriors with olive-green interiors. The dominating, interpenetrating central cube is 4.4 x 3.5 x 2.4 cm and is very nearly pristine, with only infinitesimal edgewear. Bruising on the periphery is noted, but this remains a highly representative example of the species and noted locale. Ex Bob Borofsky Collection, owner of the well-known William Wise Fluorite Mine in New Hampshire. SUPER purple fluorescence, as you would expect for the Heights.
