Item Description
A classic and beautiful, color-zoned, CABINET, fluorite crystal cluster from the famous Minerva #1 Mine of Illinois. The striking and rich grape-purple edge phantoms really accentuate the golden-amber interiors on these glassy crystals with nifty stepped-growth and lightly frosted faces. This striking specimen has several display possibilities, as you can see, to show off the fabulous color zoning. The large cube is 5.4 cm. The peppering of gem-like, doubly terminated calcite crystals is a super accent. The backlit photos highlight the glorious color saturations. Essentially pristine, which is uncommon for a larger specimen. Outstanding older (60s or 70s) material from this famous locale. Ex Paul Heise Collection. Valued $1250-1500.
