Item Description
Luscious, color-zoned, purple fluorite cubes dramatically encircle the sculptural gossan matrix on this outstanding small cabinet specimen from the 2010 find at the famous Mina Ojuela. The fluorite cubes, to 1.6 cm, are transparent, highly lustrous and the crystal faces are lightly etched, giving the cubes a waxy luster. ALL of the many cubes are pristine, with the trivial periphery wear having no impact on the superior quality of this striking piece. The vivid purple color-zoning makes these highly attractive Mina Ojuela fluorites, that compare very favorably with those recovered from any era! This historic mine continues to amaze with new finds, such as the bi-pyramidal and pseudocubic wulfenite specimens. Ex Jason New Collection and a trim off of a larger piece. This super piece has three very fine display views! Cherry-red fluorescence! Valued at $2250-2500 and worth it.
