Color-zoned Calcite w/ Mottramite (Rob Smith Coll.)

Item Description

A striking, 2.8 cm, color-zoned, flattened calcite rhomb is the commanding focal point of this very showy and aesthetic calcite combination specimen from Tsumeb. The lustrous, translucent disks look like flowers with tan centers and colorless fringes. The calcite rhombs are aesthetically clustered on the mounded gossan matrix, that is partially coated with sparkly, olive-green mottramite micro-botryoids. All of the major calcite rhombs are pristine on the display view. A very fine and unusual calcite combination specimen from the Rob Smith Collection, a noted Tsumeb specialist.
