This material is probably a mix of two or more Garnet species, as testing is showing that they very few of them are purely a single species. The gem has a very attractive lilac-pink color in indoor lighting, and changes to a rich purplish-pink color in sunlight. This color change is very difficult to find in most gemstones. The cut on this stone is an "Oval Brilliant" cut. The stone is also virtually eye clean. A highly valued gem on the market today.
