Item Description
Collinsite is a rare hydrated phosphate and this showy, wing-shaped crust is from the Type Locality in Canada. The interior is two solid, intersecting veins of radiated sprays of very glassy collinsite blades. The very colorful, variably green, bubbly and botryoidal coating crust on both sides is quercyite. Quercyite is a an improperly categorized phosphate of calcium and is a carbonate-rich form of hydroxylapatite. VERY rare on the market. Old and extremely rich material from the John White Collection of Seattle.
