Item Description
Collinsite is a rare hydrated phosphate and this aesthetic and rare miniature specimen is from the famed Rapid Creek area in Canada. Lustrous, thin, green-tinted blades of glassy collinsite to about 9 mm form attractive radiating sprays on the shale matrix. The capping spray is beautiful. Most worldwide occurrences of this mineral are as radial fibrous balls embedded in matrix, so actual crystals are quite rare, except for from this area. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection
