Item Description
Collinsite is a rare hydrated phosphate and this showy thumbnail is from the famed Rapid Creek area in Canada. Lustrous, thin, green-tinted blades of glassy collinsite to 9 mm are attached to a thin matrix crust. Most worldwide occurrences of this mineral are as radial fibrous balls embedded in matrix, so actual crystals are quite rare.
