Item Description
A superb small cabinet colemanite specimen from the well-known Type Locality. A pristine 5.7 x 4.3 x 4.0 cm 360-degree rosette of parallel-growth glassy translucent spearpoints with satin lustre is beautifully set on the angled sawed matrix covered with more colemanite blades. Formerly in the Al Ordway Collection and self-collected by him in 1974. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. An exceptionally aesthetic colemanite specimen from the locale. Probably collected with or by Jim Minette in the 1960s and 1970s.
