Item Description

Colemanite is a well-known evaporite mineral from this famous locality. This is a striking, 360-degree knob of very glassy, transparent to translucent, spearpoint crystals, with the largest crystal beautifully set at the top of the piece. Nearly pristine, with only trivial periphery wear. Classic and excellent material from this locale. Self-collected by Jaime Bird in April, 1972.
