Colemanite (rare color) (ex Colin Manlove Collection)

Item Description

Colemanite is typically colorless / white, so when you find specimens like this with such strong color, it's a big deal. This is a hard to find specimen of the beautiful and elusive "root beer" colored Colemanite crystals from the Kestelek Mine in Turkey. The crystals are actually twinned, but still incredibly sharp with lustrous faces and measure up to 7 mm sitting on matrix. Most of the crystals are in good condition, with minimal damage. If you look closely, you can see there is actually a slight overgrowth of GEMMY colorless Colemanite over the original crystals for a cool effect. From the small, one-time 2005 find.
