Item Description

Striking rosettes of lustrous, sharp, cockscomb, marcasite crystals are aesthetically clustered on very sculptural matrix on this fine and showy specimen. Ex Fioravanti Collection and obtained in an exchange in the mid-1970s. MINDAT does not list marcasite from the famous Las Manforas Mine (Aliva Mine). Most likely this piece is from the large Reocin Mine. No decrepitation noted in this very fine over 35 year-old piece.
