Cobaltoan Smithsonite (large xls)

Item Description

Two shades of pink cobaltoan smithsonite rhombs cover the sulfide matrix on this showy and hefty multi-sided specimen from Tsumeb. The translucent rhombs have waxy luster and the two imposing large crystals are 3.2 and 3.0 cm long. All of the major crystals are pristine. The scattered basal periphery wear is barely noticeable. Rich, classic and excellent Tsumeb smithsonite with large crystals. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON, as glassiness and luster made photography difficult.
