Item Description
Vivid pink, gemmy, waxy luster, cobaltoan calcite rhombs, to 1.6 cm, are aethetically clustered on the sculptural thumbnail matrix on this colorful and excellent example of this desirable varietal from the famed Tsumeb Mine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 6102 and acquired from the Lidstrom's at the Tucson Show in 1970. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Classic Tsumeb cobaltoan calcite with very rich pink color.
